Back to School Community Day

LeVelle Moton and PJ Tucker Back to School Community Day is held annually at the Raleigh Boys and Girls Club. Serving more than 1,000 each year Students filled up their backpacks with brand new school supplies and fun activities. There is free food, haircuts, and entertainment for the attendees. One of our missions is to help build great kids, strong families, healthy communities and a better future. The back to school community day is just one way that we do this. This event continues to be a success. The purpose of the event is to keep children motivated for school.

“This is where we’re from, we grew up here. If we don’t come back here there’s nowhere for us to go. It’s cool we live a certain lifestyle and we’re around a different demographic right now. but it’s nothing that feels like coming back home.”
