Raleigh Raised Development

CHILDHOOD FRIENDS TO BUSINESS PARTNERS

Three childhood friends are using their connections and reputations as business leaders to improve the community in Southeast Raleigh. The three co-founders of Raleigh Raised Development grew up together in the same neighborhood and stayed connected throughout school and work. They decided to leverage the relationships and reputations they’ve built in their respective careers to effect positive change across the Raleigh landscape.
“We’ve known each other ever since we can remember and we have a vision and a name that represents us because we were all raised in Southeast Raleigh.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING

RRD 8 (1)
Cottages of Idlewild, a 17-unit affordable housing development, is coming to downtown Raleigh. The site, which will stand on the corner of East Lane Street and Idlewild Avenue, will include 13 units for sale and four rental units for individuals and families at 50% to 60% of the area median income. Building the new units can have a positive impact on the community. It can provide much needed housing for low-income families, allowing them to live in safe and secure homes. It can also create jobs in the construction industry, providing employment opportunities for local people. The Cottages of Idlewild will help to revitalize neighborhoods by increasing property values and creating a more vibrant atmosphere.
